Proposed Events for Kindred Hearts Ministry in 2015
Lakeview Women’s Book Club
The book that we will be reading and discussing for the month of September is “The Prodigal Son” by Danielle Steele. We will meet at Hilltop at 6:30 on Tuesday, September 22nd.
Here is a peek at the book…..
Twin boys grow up in the same family, in the same town. Dramatically different, they become bitter enemies, even as children: one good, one bad. One leaves his peaceful hometown, but when the prodigal son returns twenty years later, the brothers' reunion will expose shocking revelations...A riveting novel of family secrets, salvation, and redemption from the world's favorite storyteller Danielle Steel.
Pick up a copy for yourself today, read it and join us for our discussion. For questions, contact Shelba Goodman
Kindred Hearts Card Ministry
The Kindred Hearts ladies are having a card ministry where we get together and make cards that we mail out to people of the church or to whomever a card needs to be sent. If you would like to join in this ministry you can contact Bitsy Scott or Lynn Carey. Not only are we making something useful but we are enjoying a wonderful time of fellowship at the same time. For times that they meet please contact Bitsy or Lynn.
Kindred Hearts Gift Baskets
The Kindred Hearts continues to do gift baskets for the shut ins and for those who have been sick or had deaths in their families, etc. Here is a chance for you to help in this ministry. We need donated items so that we can continue making the baskets. We will have a container in the lobby for you to place items such as toiletries, notepads, pens, lotions, individually wrapped snacks (ex: crackers, candy, etc.) anything small to fit in a basket. We would greatly appreciate the donations. If you have any questions, contact Denise Broome or Linda Hagler.
